There’s a good reason people love to talk about the ’80s, and the forthcoming Unusual Results seems to indulge in all of that. We’re talking evil alien conspiracies that just a bunch of kids discovered (without adults listening to them), classic arcades, playing outside with your friends very late and with no worries in the world, VHS rental shops, synth music, big ones hair and very light colors.
Just look at this wonderful summary:
“Christmas is just around the corner. Vinny, Nick and Tony are trying to decode an adult pay-per-view channel with their brand new cable signal descrambler, but unexpectedly they pick up the distress signal from an alien spaceship that is in the woods near their town crashes. Things only get weirder when they realize the towering alien is killing certain members of their community!”
Unusual Findings is a pixel art point/click adventure that pays homage to the era and was once funded through Kickstarter. We’re told that your choices will have consequences for both the story and the relationship between the main characters.
Now the release date has been revealed in a new trailer, and it turns out that it will be released on October 12 for PC, PlayStation, Switch and Xbox. Check out this absolutely beautiful video below.
