In recent months, the rumor has persisted that a new “Crash Bandicoot” adventure is being worked on. As an insider who is considered a reliable source reports, it will not stop with a new title.
After the commercial success of the “Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy” and the last offshoot “Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time”, things have been pretty quiet about the long-lasting brand in recent months, at least from the official side.
While those responsible at Activision Blizzard remain silent about the future of the “Crash Bandicoot” series, rumors surfaced last year that a multiplayer brawler in the “Crash Bandicoot” universe is being worked on, which will be called “Wumpa League ‘ to be published.
Backing up the rumors in June this year was Windows Central editor Jez Corden, who said he wanted to know about a “Crash Bandicoot multiplayer title in development at Toys for Bob.
Insider speaks of two new titles
It looks like Crash Bandicoot: Wumpa League won’t be the end of the world. Instead, a second previously unannounced “Crash Bandicoot” project is said to be in development. At least that’s what the Twitter account “TheRealInsider” wants to know, which in the past has always stood out with correct leaks on well-known productions.
Since the insider didn’t want to or couldn’t provide any further details, it is unfortunately unclear what “TheRealInsider” was referring to in detail. Official statements from Activision Blizzard and Toys for Bob on the current rumors about the new “Crash Bandicoot” projects are still pending.
The last main offshoot in the form of “Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time” was released in 2020 for the consoles and the PC.
