Dark Souls 3 seems not to have completely overcome its problems yet, as far as the PC version is concerned, considering that the servers on this platform are again offline, after the very long period of downtime faced only a short time ago.
“Right now, there are confirmed problems with playing Dark Souls 3 online via the Steam platform,” the series’ official Twitter account wrote, without going into much detail. “We are investigating the source of the problem and will inform you as soon as we have more details, thanks for your patience.”
The message dates back to a few hours ago but does not appear to have received any further updates afterwards. You will remember that the servers of the PC version of Dark Souls 3 remained offline for the beauty of 7 months, only to suddenly return online recently, but apparently for a short time.
The long offline was imposed by Bandai Namco and FromSoftware following the discovery of a serious vulnerability present within the online mode of Dark Souls: Remastered, Dark Souls 2 and Dark Souls 3, which could allow third parties to penetrate computers others and control them remotely.
The problem seems to have been located and fixed last August and in those days Dark Souls 3 was back online. Recently, this other problem has emerged and we hope it is a simpler question than the one we saw last time.
