Dead Space in its original form is a testament to how quality doesn’t always sell. Despite the praise he received as a fantastic survival horror game, in fact the sales data he achieved failed to satisfy what EA wanted as a publisher. Had adrift without clarity of fate, the fact that this game found its way back into the gaming industry did feel like a miracle. Not in a continuation series indeed, but at least the remake project he offers looks pleasing to the eye. The same thing is emitted from the latest 8-minute walkthrough video released by the developer – EA Motive.
With the Frostbite Engine as a base, this new gameplay ensures at least one thing – that it’s still the first Dead Space you know but in a different form. You can see that some areas are now made to look more complex, broad, and threatening, especially with EA Motive’s ambition to make the setting – USG Ishimura a connected space. Additional effects such as fog for example not only strengthen the atmosphere, but can help hide necromorphs that you are not aware of, are already near you. This video also shows a little comparison with the original version.
Dead Space Remake’s new gameplay shows off a lot.
Dead Space Remake itself is planned to be released on January 27, 2023 for Playstation 5, Xbox Series, and of course – PC. How about you? Interested?
