For some time now, various rumors have been lifting the veil a bit about the upcoming Galaxy S23 flagship series. But today the specifications of the base model of the Samsung flagship were fully revealed by leaker Yogesh Brar, on the social network Twitter.
From the beginning of the rumors, it became clear that both the base model and the Galaxy S23+ would come with a new design and it seems that this is confirmed. The two terminals will abandon the islands that accommodate the rear camera configuration and adopt a look similar to the rear panel of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
But the 6.1-inch screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz present in the Galaxy S22 will also be included in the Galaxy S23. It seems that Samsung does not intend to mess with a specification that so far has been successful.
The same goes for the rear camera setup. The Galaxy S23, like its predecessor, will have a primary sensor of 50 megapixels, an ultra wide angle of 12 megapixels and a telephoto sensor with 10 megapixels.
It was already expected that the South Korean giant would not make changes to the model’s optics, since the Galaxy S22 received this update. Of course, it is possible that Samsung will add features and software to make some improvements to this specification.
Samsung Galaxy S23 arrives with bigger battery
At the controls will be the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. This is good news, since the chip’s passage through the benchmarking platforms indicates that it is significantly more powerful than its predecessor, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 – and is also expected to be less hot .
As with the previous generation, the Qualcomm chip will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of internal storage.
Also like the previous model, it will have a 10 megapixel front camera. This means that Samsung is unlikely to upgrade the front sensor to 12 megapixels, as previously advanced.
The last big news will be in the battery that will be bigger with 3,900 mAh of capacity. We know that it is an upgrade of only 200 mAh, compared to the previous model, but this small change will have a positive impact on the autonomy provided by the terminal.
For the rest, it will maintain support for 25-watt fast charging, as well as 15-watt wireless charging.
