Knives in A Plague Tale: Requiem – items needed to open chests. There are 18 knives in total in the game: 16 can be found during the passage of the game, and the remaining 2 will be received automatically at the very beginning of the story. For the story, you can find 10 chests, therefore, you need to collect only 10 of the 18 items.
They don’t directly give any loot, but their need to open chests essentially equates knives with collectibles. They need to be found to get other collectibles and achievements. The manual will explain in detail and show where to find all knives A Plague Tale: Requiem.
What knives are used for in A Plague: Tale Requiem
Knives are needed to open chests. Do not use these items to destroy enemies: knives are disposable and breakable after killing an enemy. Always keep 1 of these in your inventory to be able to open the next chest.
Sometimes a character can automatically use a weapon against melee enemies to prevent a fatal blow. If this happened – restart the checkpoint immediately. In the case when you got to the chest, but you don’t have a “key” with you, you will need to repeat the passage from the last location of the knife and further using the chapter selection.
More of these weapons will spawn on low difficulty and fewer on higher difficulty. Because of this, we recommend playing at the minimum level if the goal is to collect all collectibles to unlock achievements. A high level removes some of the knives, but the other will be in ordinary places.
Where to find all knives in A Plague Tale Requiem
There are no knives in the first chapter, in the second and third you will receive one each: in “strangers» will be issued automatically, in «Heavy Roofs» Take another one. It is located on the second floor of the warehouse, from which you go outside to the soldier. You can’t miss this knife, because it is connected with history.

Story company: Chapter 4.
The first optional knife can be found in the fourth chapter, in part risky route [Risky itinerary]. During the “Get to the Order Boat” objective, at the beginning of the first encounter with enemies, you can find this weapon. It sticks out of the fence in the middle of the “arena”, where you will start the battle with opponents.
Many such knives appear only on Narrative Difficulty. They won’t be available at higher levels or in New Game+.
If there is no item, you can change the difficulty in the gameplay settings, then load the last point and pick up the knife.

Story Campaign: Chapter 4.
In the “Common grave in the swamps” subsection, while you get to Joseph on a pontoon, you will pick up another melee weapon. During the battle with enemies, when a fire burns in the center of the area, move a short distance to the left, towards one of the houses: in BC find a protruding knife.

Story Campaign: Chapter 5.
In Chapter 5, when you cross the rat-infested construction area, after reuniting with Luca, don’t continue towards the braziers as the storyline requires. Instead, look around and find by the rock scaffoldinglocated above. Destroy the chain and climb to the very top of all the stairs.
When you get to the top, go to the wooden shed and find the barrel. There is a knife directly on it, but it only appears on the lowest difficulty.

Story Campaign: Chapter 5.
After the end of the boat trip, when you have to take up the crossbow for the first time as part of the goal “Get rid of the bandits”, defeat the enemy and move straight ahead. Immediately after receiving a hint about using a weapon, go to a fallen tree: a knife sticks out in its trunk.

Story Campaign: Chapter 6.
In the sixth chapter in the subsection “Compound”, where you look for a way out, you can get another knife. After the first group of opponents in the quarry, when you exit through the door and forbid it to escape, reach the first stone “column” and turn left at it. An old cart with explosives has a knife sticking out, next to the second squad of the enemy in this location.

Story Campaign: Chapter 6.
In the sixth chapter, during the “Get to the building” quest, turn off the path and pick up another important item. Immediately after leaving the quarry, there will be another skirmish with enemies. Go straight ahead and reach the white ledge. Climb up to find a supply crate, and to the right of it is a knife.

Story Campaign: Chapter 6.
Toward the end of the sixth chapter, when you need to leave the painting workshops, you can find the last knife in this part. As soon as you learn how to control the rats, the next time you meet with opponents, go through the outer territory on the right side and turn to wooden cart. Take control of the rodents and set them on the man to free the area and take the blade.

Story Campaign: Chapter 7.
In a chapter subsection “Arrival at the Beach”, complete the goal as required by the game. Cross the beach. After walking a few steps, Hugo will encounter many seagulls. You will immediately find small wooden houselocated on the left, behind the stones.
Climb the stairs and open the door to enter the house. A mattress is carelessly thrown in the far right corner, and you can find another knife on it.

Story Campaign: Chapter 7.
There is another knife in the seventh chapter. In the subtitle “The battle according to Arno”, until you get to Sofia’s boat, you need to go outside. When you encounter the first opponents, you will get the opportunity to give Arno orders to attack. In this location, move towards a lonely mast, behind which you can see the light in the distance.
On the sand, next to the shipwreck, there are traces of parts of the ship. Among them you can find a board into which someone stuck a knife.

Story Campaign: Chapter 9.
In a large area to explore, available during the mission “Follow the bird statues”, head towards the mountain with two huge peaks. Just before the path leading to the rock, on the left you will find a dilapidated tower. Go around it to climb to the foot.
Approach the window that peeks out a bit from behind the rocks and shoot through it at the door lock. After that, enter the tower, move forward and open the door on the left, which was just unlocked. You can find a knife in the frame of the barrel.

Story Campaign: 10 chapter.
While getting to the fort, wait until Hugo runs across the field, shortly after that, the brother and sister will meet the enemy. After the collision, follow the stone path to the second ruined building located on the right side.
To the right of the entrance is a long wooden table, and another knife is stuck in the center.

Story Campaign: 10 chapter.
After leaving the crypt, Amicia will face a large-scale encounter with opponents, in which he will have to survive the attack and fight waves of enemies. During this event, in the right corner (behind the pillar, marked on the first screenshot) you can find a knife.
Do not use it in battle to take the chest in the next chapter.

Story Campaign: Chapter 11.
At the stage when you need to explore the underground zone, go through the story to the room with the workbench. This place cannot be missed. Crouch at the hole in the left wall, because of it you will be able to shoot from fiery slingshot explosive barrels to blow up the gate. Go further and you will fall into the next corridor.
When you get to the next corridor, which begins with an iron door, go to the fork, and turn right at it. On the left wall you can find a skeleton: A knife sticks out in his head.

Story Campaign: Chapter 13.
During the subsection “Fresh air”when Amicia and Hugo need to get to the port, go to the area with human opponents, then turn right past the archway, climb into the clearing and run towards the settlement.
Along the way, find an overturned wooden wagon on the left. In the back of it you can find a stuck knife.

Story Campaign: Chapter 13.
Leaving the territory of the enemy, where they previously took knife #14, go to a burning village with a lot of opponents. Follow the path to the left, enter the barn on the left side, go under the canopy through the house.
Run through the house, exit the archway and turn the corner. In front of another stone arch, you will see a place of memory, on which various wreaths are located. A knife is also stuck next to them, which you can pick up.
Knife #16
Story Campaign: Chapter 13.
From the previous knife, go through the area with the battle with the enemies. In the area next to it, find a house with a workbench. This room has a cornice with a hole through which you can crawl through and find yourself on the balcony. Walk left and jump down.
Immediately after landing, turn around and go to the right, into a small alley. In the corner, in one of the beams of the balcony, the last knife sticks out. These collectibles will no longer be found in later chapters.
