10/19/2022 at 2:00 p.m. by Philipp Sattler – In episode 605 of the buffedcast, Seb and Phil talk about the pre-patch for WoW: Dragonflight and why it was announced so late. The two also talk about the great release success of Overwatch and what Netflix’s new advertising subscription means for them.
As always, we’re showing excellent timing with the buffedCast. In the virtual sound booth, Seb and Phil talk about why Blizzard doesn’t just announce the WoW: Dragonflight pre-patch, especially since the date is an open secret anyway. And a few hours later, the developers announced a review and the pre-patch for October 26th. Of course, the two will still tell you what awaits you in it.
Afterwards, the two discuss Overwatch 2, which was able to celebrate great success with its release. After all, 25 million players were in the hero shooter in the first ten days – despite the initial problems. One thing is clear for our two editors: Overwatch is still a lot of fun. However, the numbers do not yet show whether it will really be a success. Because with a Free2Play there is always a lot going on at the beginning.
At the very end, the two digress a little and discuss the new advertising subscription from Netflix and why this measure was actually foreseeable for a long time and will probably help shape the future of streaming.
