Horror survival game DayZ gets major 1.19 update. The details are here!
Czech video game developer Bohemia Interactive today announced the release of DayZ update 1.19, titled Secrets of Livonia. This is the game’s biggest expansion for the year.
The update brings many new and improved features, new weapons, revised locations and a new vehicle. However, the main innovation is a secret bunker complex that appears on the map of Livonia. Players who enjoy roaring through the apocalypse will also enjoy a new military vehicle and improved vehicle animations, making for an even smoother driving experience.
Here is the new trailer for the update:
Livonia in the spotlight
In this update, Livonia is the focus. The DLC map is available for PC, Xbox and PlayStation. It has an area of 163 km² and is part of a fictional Polish-speaking country. Amidst the overgrown ruins and thriving wilderness are countless new locations and points of interest. Lumber mills, villages, quarries, summer camps, hunting lodges, makeshift camps, amusement parks, and large deforested areas are scattered across the map. However, the most attractive place is the abandoned underground military bunker, which can only be entered using a special item. Once inside, players must work together and work their way through dark corridors to explore the entire complex.
Gone are the days of flying cars and Humvees
Update 1.19 introduces new and revised vehicle simulations that provide a far more authentic driving experience and fix issues such as cars flying around. Now there is also a handbrake, a horn and spare tires that are carried in a special slot. To celebrate these improvements, the M1025 vehicle has also been added to the game. This is a drivable military vehicle that the community has been asking for for a long time.
New weapons and navigation items
The expansion also features a variety of new items and gadgets that can be used in the Wasteland. Above all, the arsenal of weapons is expanded. For example, a brand new sniper rifle is introduced with the SSG 82. Also new is the BK-18 single-shot break-over shotgun. Players who often get lost on their discovery tours should definitely get hold of the new GPS receiver. The device complements the in-game map and makes navigating the terrain far more immersive and easy.
