Devil May Cry 5 has in fact exceeded quota 6 million copies sold taking into account both the basic edition published on PC, PS4 e Xbox One in March 2019, both the Special Edition per PS5 e Xbox Series X/S released in November 2020. The fifth main episode is therefore confirmed as the most successful game of the franchise, which sees a constant growth in its numbers: it was in fact April 2022 when Devil May Cry 5 reached 5 million copies sold , a sign of how the additional million was placed in the space of about six months.
With such results it is extremely likely that the series will continue in the near future, albeit for a possible one Devil May Cry 6 you may have to wait a very long time: the director Hideaki Itsuno is in fact at work on Dragon’s Dogma 2 announced last June: currently it is still completely without a launch window, and it is not clear at what point are the works on the new game of the popular RPG series.
