Codemasters and Electronic Arts present a Free Play weekend to celebrate the upcoming 2022 FORMULA 1 ARAMCO UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX. To mark the occasion, popular McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo jumps into the simulation and gives players a fun guide on how they can complete the Circuit of The Americas. A number of US-inspired in-game items will be available for free, and there will be a special price promotion throughout the weekend for anyone who wants to buy the game.
From October 20th to 24th, players worldwide will have the opportunity to F1 22 to play for free during the US race weekend. The game will be available as a free trial for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam). New players can learn about special price promotions offered by the platforms’ retailers, with all game progress from the testing phase being saved.
To support new and existing fans ahead of race weekend, the studio has teamed up with Daniel Ricciardo to create a guide of his best tips, tricks and secrets on how to get around the Austin circuit the quickest. Through his personal experience and his charismatic personality, Ricciardo imparts technical knowledge such as braking points, difficult curves, overtaking maneuvers and DRS zones and explains what is necessary to conquer the track. Players can then show off their new skills by competing in the Ricciardo Hot Lap Challenge and posting their fastest lap at the Circuit of The Americas using #RicciardoChallenge and #F122gameSweepstakes from October 20-24. One participant will be selected at random on October 28th and will win a virtual meet and greet and a race with Daniel Ricciardo in person.

Free USA-inspired content is also now available via in-game mail as part of the race weekend celebrations. Through November 7th, everyone who logs in will receive a Stars and Stripes wrap, helmet, race suit and gloves, as well as The Griddy podium celebration for all player-created drivers.
