As announced by Electronic Arts and EA Sports, the women’s soccer section of “FIFA 23” will be expanded early next year. Both the entry of the UEFA Women’s Champions League and new women’s teams are promised.
Compared to the offshoots of recent years, women’s football is given greater importance in “FIFA 23”, which was published a few weeks ago.
As those responsible at Electronic Arts and EA Sports announced, this will be further expanded at the beginning of 2023. The developers are working on an implementation of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, the knockout phase of which will find its way into the game next year and offer you the opportunity to reach for the most important European club title in women’s football.
The launch of the UEFA Women’s Champions League will be accompanied by internationally renowned women’s teams such as Juventus Women, Real Madrid Femenino, Chelsea Women, Manchester City Women, Olympique Lyonnais Féminine, Paris Saint-Germain Feminine and more.
Multi-year sponsoring partnership with DAZN announced
“We are very pleased that the UEFA Women’s Champions League will be integrated into FIFA 23. It is only logical that the best women’s club competition in the world should become part of the world’s leading football simulation game. This is another important step for women’s football and an ideal additional platform for the athletes who contribute to its success,” commented EA Sports on the announcement of the Women’s Champions League.
It was also announced that EA Sports has entered into a multi-year sponsorship partnership with DAZN to become the global broadcast partner of the UEFA Women’s Champions League. The partnership begins in March, coinciding with the launch of the UEFA Women’s Champions League in FIFA 23 and the quarter-finals of the competition. As part of the partnership, ads for matching EA Sports games will be featured across all DAZN broadcasts.
