Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, the 4v1 supernatural action game from asymmetrical multiplayer experts IllFonic, is out today. The game comes with full crossplay on PC via Epic Games Store, PlayStation and Xbox for €39.99.
In Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Ray and Winston open the fire station gates and welcome a new generation of Ghostbusters.
The asymmetric hide-and-seek game lets players play as either a team member of the new Ghostbusters or as a single ghost; either with up to four friends or solo. There is also an offline single player mode with fellow AI players. The cutscene-filled story unfolds as players progress. Whether you’re the hunter or the hunted, the game is easy to learn and fun to master.

The iconic gear like proton packs, PKE meters, and spirit traps that fans can expect and newcomers can find fun are also included in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed. The game’s hub, the Fire Station and Ray’s Occult Books, will also look familiar to many fans. Here players can choose their missions, customize characters, practice with their proton packs and explore the area. The original actors are also back in their roles as Ray Stantz and Winston Zeddemore and some friends.
As Ghostbuster – As one of four Ghostbusters armed with proton packs, players attempt to capture a ghost that is haunting unique locations. The PKE meter is used to track rifts, which serve as the ghost’s spawning point to destroy with the particle launcher before the ghost completes its haunting. As the game progresses, new cosmetics and upgrades for Ghostbusters and Ghosts will also be unlocked, further expanding the gaming experience. Thus, fans have an immersive experience and can fully live out their Ghostbuster dreams.
As a ghost – Ghosts have many abilities at their disposal, such as sliming, possessing objects, and more. In this way, the spook in the various places becomes great fun. There are up to five spirits with unique talents, ultimate abilities, and obedient minions that rely on ectoplasm. Players fly through public places and possess lots of objects to avoid the Ghostbusters. They terrify civilians into fleeing, play tricks on the Ghostbusters, and hide their rifts to provide a safe spawn point should they be caught.
Locations – There are many different locations such as a museum, a winter cabin, a ship, a prison and a brewery. Players can complete challenges, customize their Ghost or Ghostbuster, and find hidden mushrooms and molds to unlock more items.
The more fans play, the more immersed they become in the story. Players must fulfill the wishes of Ray Stantz and Winston Zeddemore to unlock cutscenes leading to a thrilling finale. Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is a multiplayer title that has even more to offer.
