Original article on Halloween 2020: For many players in Guild Wars 2 (buy now €49.95) it is the best celebration of all: The Shadow of the Mad King! Tyrian Halloween beckons with lots of candy, spooky decorations, bad jokes, and unique rewards. In 2020, the festivities will take place from October 13th to November 3rd.
In 2020 we can once again acrobatically master the clockwork tower, beat up the opponents of the labyrinth in the frenzied swarm of players, join the mad inquisition in absurd PvP or simply play “The mad king says…” in the beautifully decorated Löwenstein.
New weapons and a cloak from the Shadow of the Mad King in Guild Wars 2
Similar to the New Life Festival, Festival of the Four Winds, and Dragon Bash, this year brings a fancier take on the weapons we unlocked last year. In the Shadow of the Mad King, the cursed weapons receive an upgrade called “Cursed Demon”. Previously we got Halloween weapons for completing the Halloween Daily five times. The spooky candle-themed war tools seem to get a magical glow based on a teaser image:
