In anticipation of the start of sales of the 13th generation Core chips (Raptor Lake-S), Intel held a series of presentations dedicated to new processors. Among other things, they were affected by the performance of new products in video games. If Intel’s own benchmarks are to be believed, the flagship Core i9-13900K will lay claim to being the best gaming processor.
On average, the Core i9-13900K delivers 11% faster frame rates than the recently released AMD Ryzen 9 7950X for the AM5 platform. Intel measured performance in a dozen popular games. More detailed information about the performance of the Raptor Lake-S CPU will be published in independent reviews, which will be released closer to the release of new products.
It will be possible to purchase 13th generation Core chips, as well as LGA1700 motherboards with top-end Intel Z790 logic, from tomorrow. We add that the new CPUs are also supported by previously released motherboards with 600-series logic (subject to a UEFI firmware update).
