The budget of the game “Sparta” is already estimated at 200 million rubles, but ANO “Internet Development Institute” sponsored not only the developers from Lipsar Studio. Grants were also received by the creators of the adventure game “Trains” with a budget of 180 million rubles. and real-time strategy “Denis Davydov” with a budget of 50 million rubles. In the latter case, we are talking about a game whose heroes will be partisans who took part in the Patriotic War of 1812.
In total, ANO “Institute for the Development of the Internet” (IRI) approved the allocation of grants for the development of 14 video games as part of a competition for the creation of national content in the gaming environment.
As for the Sparta project, IRI is interested in it, since it will allow “to create a positive image of the Russian military.” The release of the game from Lipstar Studio is scheduled for the end of 2024. According to the producer of Lipsar Studio Gleb Durnovo, the first stage of the development of Sparta will cost 130 million rubles, and in general, the creation of the game will cost about 200 million rubles. excluding marketing costs.
Gleb Durnovo also clarified that Sparta’s locations will be closer to the realities of modern warfare, with artillery, drones and “Boston Dynamics-style robops.” Lipsar Studio plans to develop their game on the Unity engine.
