Apple announced that iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura will be available from October 24, 2022therefore about a month and a half after the debut of iOS 16. The new operating systems for iPad and Mac include several new features awaited with great interest, primarily Stage Manager.
The announcement came along with the launch of the new iPad and iPad Pro, featuring a revamped design and next-generation Apple Silicon M2 chip. The new SoC brings an increase of 15% compared to M1 in terms of CPU and 35% in terms of GPU.
iPadOS 16, con Stage Manager
The most awaited novelty of iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura is Stage Manager. This is a new multitasking feature that automatically organizes the apps and open windows to allow the user to focus on the current activity and at the same time to see everything at a glance. The window in use remains in the foreground in the center, while the others appear grouped on the left of the screen, allowing you to switch on the fly from one activity to another. Stage Manager also allows you to connect Apple devices to external monitors, a very useful function.
