Well-known Jon Prosser is back with exclusive information about one of Apple’s upcoming products. At stake is the fourth generation of the iPhone SE, publicly releasing its renders of Apple’s next affordable smartphone.
According to its sources, the next iPhone SE will arrive in 2023 and will feature a desired design overhaul. Apparently, the new device will be based on the iPhone XR.
iPhone SE 4 will use the body of the iPhone XR
Through an anonymous source, Jon Prosser received privileged information about the iPhone SE 4. As the published images show, the new device will finally abandon the iPhone 8 body and embrace the more modern design of the iPhone XR.
In fact, this will be the first iPhone SE to adopt a notch display. It also means the disappearance of the traditional home button, which leaves some questions as to whether Apple will keep the Touch ID technology in this more accessible model and if so where it will be placed.
Other aesthetic traits reveal a product with more rounded edges and not the more rectangular appearance of the latest iPhones. In addition, we will only have a camera on the back of the smartphone.
Jon Prosser’s latest share is all about the design of the upcoming iPhone SE. As far as his specifications are concerned, Prosser says he has no concrete data to go on.
Still, Apple is expected to update essential components like the processor. It is then possible that the iPhone SE 4 will hit the market with the A15 Bionic or A16 Bionic processor.
In other years we would speculate on the use of the latest model of Apple processors. However, with the company putting the A15 Bionic inside the base iPhone 14, there are a lot of questions about a possible use of the A16 Bionic in the next iPhone SE.
As for the timing of the presentation of the iPhone SE 4, Jon Prosser says that this will happen in the first quarter of 2023. A data that coincides with the traditional presentation of these devices in the spring.
