Xiaomi has not yet delivered the previous version of Google’s operating system to a good part of its smartphones. At stake is Android 12, although the latest version, Android 13, has been available for over 2 months. Now, however, we have good news for some of the brand’s older models like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro / Pro Max and POCO M2 Pro.
The arrival of Android 12 for these smartphones takes place with the arrival of MIUI 13, a version that was expected for some of the models of the Chinese manufacturer. Now, arriving first in India, we have good news for the respective users.
MIUI 13 finally brings Android 12 to several Xiaomi smartphones
The Chinese manufacturer is now starting to update several popular smartphone models in Portugal as well. By the way, as is the case with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro / Redmi Pro Max and POCO M2 Pro, mid-range devices.
The novelty factor is effectively the update of the operating system version to Android 12 when so far these terminals remain with Android 11. Note well, an already somewhat outdated version of the operating system.
System update will come to Xiaomi smartphones released in 2022
First, however, the system update will reach users enrolled in the Mi Pilot test program. However, within a few weeks they should also reach the general public and more markets besides the aforementioned Indian market.
The ongoing update will bring new life to these cost/benefit smartphones and we expect to have the news available in Portugal by the end of the year.
Finally, all the smartphones in question, the Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, as well as the POCO M2 Pro were launched by the brand in 2020.
