10/19/2022 at 5:00 p.m. by Sebastian Glanzer – Overwatch players have figured out how to view Overwatch 2’s PvE maps right now. The PvE mode should not be implemented until 2023, but you can already examine the first maps without NPCs with your heroes using a trick.
A big feature of Overwatch 2 will be the PvE mode. It will be a while before players can shoot NPCs and complete missions in the process. According to the developers, the PvE missions for Overwatch 2 will come sometime in 2023, but it shouldn’t take too long. This is suggested by the maps that players can already enter.
Officially, these have actually not yet been presented. Players found a trick to enter the King’s Row map reworked for PvE mode via Custom Matches, among other things. Twitter user Squiggle shows what it looks like in the following video.

If you create a King’s Row bounty hunter map in custom mode, your hero will suddenly land on a new map that is still in progress. King’s Row will be expanded by a few areas, but the black walls show that the map for PvE mode is not ready yet.

According to the comments below this tweet, Havana’s PvE map can also be observed using this trick. Apparently Blizzard made a mistake and the maps have already been integrated into the live game. Curious players are probably just testing out which cards are still available. After the Halloween and Christmas event for Overwatch 2, the developers will probably reveal when the PvE mode will be released and what they have planned for it.
