A powerful and durable smartphone

The Realme GT 2 is a mid-range smartphone that guarantees a very smooth experience on a daily basis, thanks to the Snapdragon 888 chip from Qualcomm coupled with 12 GB of RAM. Unlike the Pro version which offers a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the classic model chooses to carry the best of last year. This chip is far from being obsolete, and is still efficient and powerful, whether for classic use such as web browsing or pushed to play 3D games in optimal quality, for example. It is even compatible with 5G.

The user experience is fluid, in particular thanks to its 6.62-inch AMOLED screen in FHD + refreshed at 120 Hz for pleasant navigation. To keep up, Realme incorporates a battery consisting of two 2500 mAh accumulators for a total of 5000 mAh. You can last a whole day with heavy use, or two depending on moderate use. Otherwise, the GT 2 is compatible with fast charging up to 65 W. Count a good half hour to go from 10 to 100% energy.

With a limited photo module

On the other hand for the photo part, the Realme GT 2 struggles to stand out against the competition. We find on the back of the smartphone a triple photo sensor of 50 + 8 + 2 megapixels. It does not shine with its photo capabilities and will have some limitations in low light. However, its main sensor is effective and will deliver satisfactory shots.

As for the design, the Realme GT 2 plays the card of discretion without frills. Compared to its big brother, the classic model offers an equally elegant and well-finished design. Its appearance is far from disappointing, with its screen with thin borders where we find a punch located at the top left which houses the 16-megapixel selfie sensor.
