Ron Gilbert’s Return to Monkey Island was highly anticipated and came after the mysterious ending of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge. After releasing last month on PC and Nintendo Switch, the game received great reviews from critics, and according to a new tweet from publisher Devolver Digital, sales are also going well.
According to Stan S. Stanman, it is the fastest selling game in the series. Although sales figures were not provided, they are difficult to compare with previous games given the eras in which they were released. Still, this is good news for developer Terrible Toybox (although a Monkey Island sequel seems unlikely).
