On the occasion of the Silent Hill Transmission it was announced Return to Silent Hilla new film adaptation of Konami’s horror series based on Silent Hill 2. The film was entrusted to Victor Hadida, who also produced the previous films, while the director will be Christophe Gans, the director of the first film. The announcement was accompanied by a very short teaser trailer with the analysis of Hadida and Gans.
During the broadcast, assistant producer Rui Naito explained that the project was born a few years ago when Hadida contacted Konami with the idea of making a new Silent Hill film, presenting a “fantastic” plot and script, to this end. point to convince the Japanese company also to bring the games of the series back to life. As proof of this we have seen the announcements of Silent Hill 2 Remake and the mysterious Silent Hill Townfall and Silent Hill f.
As previously mentioned, Return to Silent Hill will have the second chapter of Konami’s horror series as its narrative base, so it will tell the story of James, a desperate man who is ready to face the horrors of the town shrouded in fog in order to save his great love. The myth of Orpheus and Eurydice will also be revisited, with the adaptation that, according to the words of Gans and Hadida, will be faithful to the game but at the same time will be a more modern reinterpretation.
