After a lot of speculation, Konami has finally brought a remake of Silent Hill 2, widely regarded as the best entry in the psychological horror franchise, to modern platforms. Silent Hill 2 will release on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC in 2023. The game already has its own page on Steam, from which it became known that the project will receive localization into Russian in the form of a translation of the menu and subtitles. New screenshots have also appeared and system requirements have become known.
The Silent Hill 2 remake appears to be a complete recreation of the game, as evidenced by the debut trailer showing off detailed graphics, new voice acting, and new music. Silent Hill’s original composer Akira Yamaoka and artist Masahiro Ito are collaborating on the development of the remake.
