Tonight the “Silent Hill” series is being revived. Several productions seem to come into focus, as the meta information on Youtube reveals. And also an exclusivity seems to be confirmed.
Tonight the future of the “Silent Hill” series will be presented during a showcase. The broadcast will start at 11 p.m. on YouTube, where the corresponding stream has already been set up.
More interesting than the countdown that can be seen in the player, however, are the meta tags that are used by a Resetera-User were extracted. They give an idea of what will be shown in a few hours.
Video tags include: “Konami”, “Silent Hill 2”, “Silent Hill”, “Silent Hill Transmission”, “Silent Hill f”, “Ascencion”, “Silent Hill Ascension”, “Teaser Trailer” and ” Interview”.
While remakes or remasters of “Silent Hill” and “Silent Hill 2” have been haunting the rumor mill for a long time, “Silent Hill Ascension” could be a completely new title. Return to Silent Hill is another film directed by Christophe Gans.
Previous leaks have claimed that three separate Silent Hill games are in development, in addition to a playable teaser that precedes one of those three games.
Exclusive to PlayStation and PC?
Two additional tags were discovered in the source code that indicate possible exclusivity. Because only PlayStation and Steam are mentioned, it seems that the Xbox consoles will not play a role tonight. That would fit with the rumors that Sony’s own events postponed for strategic reasons.
Also included in the original version of the video description was preparation for a PlayStation Store link, such as Gematsu reported.
Today’s stream, which you can also watch in this message from 11 p.m., should reveal which platforms are actually supported.
Finally, the video’s metadata confirms that the show will be nearly 49 minutes long, meaning Konami has a lot to show and will be spending plenty of time talking about the things Silent Hill is about to become in the years to come has to offer.
