Solidigm, a subsidiary of SK hynix, formed from the former flash memory division of Intel, introduced the P44 Pro series of high-performance SSDs. The series includes SSD models with a capacity of 512 GB, as well as 1 and 2 TB. All new items comply with the PCIe 4.0 standard.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not share the detailed characteristics of the presented SSD. In particular, the company does not specify which controller and flash memory chips are used in the P44 Pro series drives. However, Solidigm notes that the new items provide sequential read speeds up to 7000 MB / s. It is also indicated that SSDs consume no more than 5.3 watts of power.
The company positions the P44 Pro series of NVMe solid-state drives as solutions “for modern gaming PCs and workstations.” In addition, the manufacturer indicates that the P44 Pro drives meet all the requirements of the PlayStation 5 game consoles.
Solidigm P44 Pro will go on sale in October. All SSD models listed are covered by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty. The company priced the 512GB Solidigm P44 Pro drive at $80, and the 1TB and 2TB versions at $130 and $235, respectively.
