The Brazilian tester, hiding on Twitter under the pseudonym NoeL, has already received the opportunity to download the PS4 version of the action-adventure God of War Ragnarok and attracted the attention of the community to her size.
In September, the Internet appeared screenshot, according to which the PS4 version will take about 90 GB on the console. Since then, however, God of War Ragnarok started getting patches and, accordingly, grow in size.
As it became known from the publication of NoeL, together with the patches already released for the game, the size of God of War Ragnarok on PS4 will exceed 118.5 GB. For comparison: God of War (2018) required only 46 GB on the console.
How much space God of War Ragnarok will need on the PlayStation 5 has not been revealed at this stage, but Sony’s latest console uses Kraken data compression technology, so the figure should be lower there.
Probably, the size of God of War Ragnarok on PS4 is so large for a single adventure due to its size: according to the plot, Kratos and his son Atreus will go to all the Nine Worlds of Norse mythology. The game will also feature Ragnarok.
What else to expect from the plot component of God of War Ragnarok and how Santa Monica Studio coped with the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the developers told in the first video (attached below) from the behind-the-scenes cycle about the creation of the game.
God of War Ragnarok is set to release on November 9th for PS4 and PS5. Copies to review the game journalists received three weeks before the premiere. The first reviews will appear on November 3 at 18:00 Moscow time.
