The iPad 10 (2022) was made official yesterday alongside the new iPad Pro M2. With its new design and its new SoC, the tenth generation of the iPad brings great new features, even if its transition to USB-C complicates things for using it with the Apple Pencil.

In terms of design, the iPad 10 (2022) is a clone of the iPad Air 5. The LCD screen is now larger with its 10.9-inch diagonal and has a resolution of 2360×1640 pixels. The maximum brightness is 500 Nits. Unfortunately, the display still only supports the 1st generation Apple Pencil. USB-C finally replaces the Lightning port and headphone jack. Apple also repositioned the fingerprint scanner and removed the home button, allowing for thinner bezels.

The 10th generation iPad is the first tablet from Apple to have a selfie camera arranged in landscape mode. The 12 MP front lens should allow a better experience with FaceTime when the iPad is in landscape mode. On the back, there is a 12 MP lens capable of filming in 4K at 30 fps.
The new iPad 10 is equipped with the six-core A14 Bionic SoC. It is now 5G compatible for the cellular version and is available with 64 or 256 GB of storage.

iPad 10 (2022): Price and availability
Apple is charging a lot for the new features of the iPad 10 (2022). The new standard iPad starts at 589 euros, making it 200 euros more expensive compared to its predecessor which launched at 389 euros. You can choose between the colors Blue, Yellow, Silver and Pink. The iPad 10 (2022) will be available on October 26.
Although it will be released in iPadOS 16, iPad 10 will not have the long-awaited Stage Manager feature. Fortunately, it will be able to benefit from the other new features of iPadOS 16.

Apple also announced the new Magic Keyboard Folio which magnetically attaches to the iPad 10 (2022). The new protection with keyboard costs 299 euros. Surprisingly, the keyboard has a trackpad and full-sized keys.
