While the iPad 10 has a USB-C port, the Logitech Crayon stylus with the same connector promises to be much more relevant than the Apple Pencil 1, which needs a Lightning adapter to recharge.

The iPad 10 was freshly presented. The product offers various new features, but the most striking is undoubtedly the switch to USB-C. From now on, all Apple tablets have this connector that the European Union will impose as a universal charging port from 2024.
However, Apple’s transition to USB-C is experiencing some bumps. Indeed, the iPad 10 is compatible with the Apple Pencil 1 which still has a Lightning port. The brand therefore sells, for 10 euros, a USB-C adapter dedicated to the stylus. You will need to use this dongle to charge the Pencil and pair it with the tablet. It’s unfortunate.
Logitech Crayon vs Apple Pencil
However, now a solution a priori more relevant surfaces: the Logitech Crayon for iPad. This accessory presents itself as “a digital stylus for iPad, versatile and ultra-precise […] in apps compatible with Apple Pencil”. Above all, it has a USB-C connector and it works, among other things, with the iPad 10.

This Logitech Crayon will save people who want to buy the iPad 10 and enjoy it with a stylus from having to go through a cumbersome dongle. In addition, it costs 79.95 euros, which is cheaper than the Apple Pencil 1 displayed at 119 euros. For those who don’t already have a stylus, the choice seems easy enough to make on paper.
Logitech is probably not trying to voluntarily tackle Apple, but the Swiss brand offers here an accessory that seems much more relevant for the iPad 10 than the Apple Pencil 1. In addition, this Pencil is sold directly on the Apple Store.
Finally, remember that in addition to the iPad 10, the iPad Pro M2 were also presented, as was the Apple TV 4K 2022.
