Microsoft today announced the global distribution ofOctober update per Xbox Series X|S e Xbox Onewhich brings with it several news for system software of consoles and also for controllers, apps and Xbox Game Bar.
Il download is available today and totals approximately 786 MB. As reported on Xbox Wire, the October update for Xbox introduces various new features and additional commands to the interface, while also modifying other aspects.
Xbox, the new option for TV volume control
Among the novelties we find the possibility to change the volume of the TV directly from the console, as long as it is connected with an HDMI cable, through the Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) protocol.
As it was also reported in the past, it is possible to remove the sound that is normally heard when the console is turned on through a new option in the “additional options” and “volume” section. Some changes have also been made to the option linked to“Home” console settingthat is the one that allows you to use the games even offline and to share your library with other users on the same console.
The option can be changed 5 times a year, and is now represented more clearly and with a few more explanations in the Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One dashboard. The names of the modes have been changed shutdown of the console, which are now called “Shutdown” for complete shutdown and “Hibernation” for standby. Passkeys and guest keys are now managed through Microsoft PINs, which should speed up the process.
