A few days before the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, more information about progression and ranks became known.
In the form of military ranks, leveling is standard in multiplayer from level 1 to 55. As you progress through these ranks, you will unlock new gear, weapon platforms, and special ops kits.

With the weapon platforms, which we have previously reported on including a video, you unlock platform-specific attachments and receivers via a progression tree. Within the “weapons family” you do not have to activate it again. There are also challenges to unlock camouflages and masteries for the weapons.
Special Ops-Kits
In Special Ops mode you can choose between the three classes Assault, Medic and Engineer. They each have their own kits.
By playing and replaying the Special Ops missions, as well as completing challenges, each of these kits can be upgraded to level 10.
Unlock Operators
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will feature 25 Operators. 18 base operators first in the pre-season. There are also two Mil-Sim operators unlocked by default, four via the Vault Edition, and one PlayStation-exclusive operator.
The basic operators can be unlocked by completing challenges in campaign, multiplayer, or the Special Ops missions.
earn experience points
As you know, by default you level up by playing matches in multiplayer. You can also get additional experience points through daily challenges. They are available in Multiplayer and Special Ops. Completing three challenges even unlocks a bonus challenge. Completing this rewards three times the XP of a normal challenge.
In addition, experience points are awarded for winning matches in certain modes and certain cosmetics in milestone challenges.
There are sure to be other options, such as the XP boosts that can be activated, which will be announced when the game launches on October 28th.
Infinity Ward also announced a new Battle Pass system and seasonal prestige. However, details are still pending.
