DC’s film and TV department has had a major overhaul lately. Movies and shows have been cancelled, more have been postponed, and we’ve seen a general reshuffle that appears to begin with the upcoming premiere of Black Adam. But now we can add that the man at the helm of DC Films, Walter Hamada, is also leaving the company.
As reported by Deadline, it is said that Hamada, who has been in charge of DC Films since 2018 and has been part of Warner Bros. for 15 years, is leaving the company and that he is currently waiting for Warner executives to finalize his exit paycheck .
There’s no mention of where Hamada will go next, or likewise who will fill Hamada’s role, but it does mention that current Warner Bros. Discovery boss David Zaslav is looking for a Kevin Feige type to cover DC across all media to operate across.
