The embargo on publishing reviews of Gotham Knights has lifted today. Journalists are not enthusiastic about the project, by the current moment its score on Opencritic is 69 points out of 100, while only 40% of critics recommend trying the game. The action is praised for the story and character development, but in all other aspects it is called mediocre or downright bad. The game also has serious technical problems.
Check out the first comparison of Gotham Knights on Xbox Series X below | S, Playstation 5 and PC. According to journalists, the game does not work well on all platforms. It was known in advance that the project will only receive a 30 FPS mode on the Xbox Series X | S and Playstation 5, and this is really the only mode – on older consoles the game runs at 2160p, on Xbox Series S at 1440p. That being said, even at 30 FPS the game suffers from almost constant stuttering issues on consoles. On Xbox Series X and Playstation 5, the game has ray tracing support, but not on Xbox Series S.
Poor performance in Gotham Knights not only on consoles, but also on PC, even low-power video cards cannot achieve a stable high frame rate in the game.
