Motorola is committed to being reborn in the premium segment and for that it will launch no less than four new high-end terminals next year.
Releases include two new foldable smartphones in the Razr series and two new models in the Edge series. All arrive with highly desirable specs.
Razr folding series will be expanded with two new models
There are gonna be two RAZRs next year: one codenamed Juno, and the other Venus. (The one about to launch, a.k.a. razr 22, is Maven.)

While the global market waits (patiently) for the launch of the Razr 2022 that will be around for a few days, here’s news that Motorola is preparing two more releases in the foldable series. The information comes through leaker Evan Blass, who adds that both terminals will only be launched next year.
According to Eva Blass the new foldables are codenamed “Juno” and “Venus”, with no details known about the latter. The Juno terminal should hit the market with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor at the helm.
It will also have a high refresh rate of 144 Hz on one of the screens – we assume it will be on the main one. Other sources indicate that the Juno terminal could be the successor to the Razr 2022.
If this information is confirmed, we can speculate that Lenovo, the brand that Motorola owns, wants to “resurrect” the Razr series that, in other times, was a huge success at a global level.
Edge series with news in 2023
However, other rumors are also beginning to advance with information about Motorola’s upcoming premiums, Edge 40 and Edge 40 Pro, which will hit the global market in 2023. It should be noted that these terminals may be launched by the end of this year, but only on the market Chinese and under a different trade name.
But let’s get to the specs. About the Edge 40 model, there are some doubts about whether it will adopt the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Since it is the base model of the new series, it may have an “older” processor.
This chip will be paired with 8 or 12 GB of RAM, and the terminal will also have a screen of unknown size that will provide Full HD+ resolution. Finally, in the optical department will have a primary sensor of 50 megapixels, an ultrawide of 13 megapixels and even a depth sensor with two megapixels of resolution.
Of course, the Edge 40 Pro will have more advanced specifications. In this sense, it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and a screen with a high refresh rate of 165 Hz.
In terms of optics, it will feature a primary sensor of 50 megapixels, an ultrawide sensor also with 50 megapixels and a telephoto sensor with 12 megapixels of resolution. It should also be noted that it will display a 60 megapixel front camera.
