The next cheap smartphone from the world’s largest mobile device maker could be dubbed Samsung Galaxy A24a product to cost less than 300 euros. However, its technical characteristics can sin in an unforgivable department.
According to multiple international sources, this which promises to be one of Samsung’s cheapest smartphones for 2022 and much of 2023, may use a four-year-old processor. In other words, an outdated chipset in all relevant aspects.
Samsung Galaxy A24 will be the cheapest of Samsung smartphones
First of all, it is important to remember that at the beginning of 2022 we got to know the current “low price champion” of this manufacturer, the Samsung Galaxy A23.
This smartphone, also widely publicized before the release in leaks, has brought slight improvements compared to its predecessor, but it is still a basic phone.
The source of the new information, the publication ThePixel, suggests that the Samsung Galaxy A24 will use an AMOLED screen, manufactured by Samsung itself, with a high refresh rate at 90 Hz. For a phone costing less than 300 euros it will be a boon.
We will also have a 48 MP main camera at the rear, as well as the possibility that its camera is now triple and not quadruple as in the current model. However, the quality of the results should be higher in this new model.
Current model – Galaxy A23 5G – arrived in September 2022
Screen: IPS LCD de 6,6” a 120 Hz, Full-HD+
Processor: Snapdragon 695 5G (6 nm)
RAM: from 4GB
Storage: from 64GB
Drums: 5 000 mAh a 25 W
chambers: 50MP + 5MP + 2MP + 2MP / 8MP
Release: September 2022
It is important to note that the same Samsung phone – the Galaxy A23 – was released in two versions – with and without 5G connectivity. There is a slight price difference between the two, with the 5G version naturally being the more expensive and better equipped.
What brings us here, however, is the indication of Samsung’s own Exynos 7904 processor for the base version of the brand’s next cheap model. Note that this is an already old processor for all intents and purposes, without 5G connectivity.
That said, it is likely that the Galaxy A24 will thus bring two versions, one without 5G connectivity, with this manifestly old Exynos SoC and, later, a version with 5G, more expensive but better equipped.
The next cheap smartphones still do not have an official presentation date

In short, MySmartPrice points out, these will be Samsung’s next two entry-level smartphones, with very basic features, especially for the 4G version of the phone.
Incidentally, even the battery capacity (going to 4,000 mAh) and screen refresh rate (going from 120 Hz to 90 Hz) should be lower in the next model.
All the information here, like any leak, needs official confirmation by the brand itself.
