Konami has announced an interactive streaming series called “Silent Hill: Ascension”, for which the first information and video scenes are available.
Konami has announced several new Silent Hill projects as part of the Silent Hill Transmission, including Silent Hill: Ascension. It is a real-time live interactive horror series developed by Genvid, Bad Robot Games, Behavior and DJ2 Entertainment.
According to Genvid CEO Jacob Navok, Silent Hill: Ascension is intended to be a social experience at scale. Viewers can help determine the outcome of the story and even take part in some scenes of the series.
In that sense, Silent Hill: Ascension seems to give groups of viewers the opportunity to collectively decide what happens next in the story.
“There is no reset button,” Navok said in the course of the announcement. “The choices you make mean life or death in history.”
During the announcement, it was stressed that Silent Hill: Ascension was inspired by the streamers who played Silent Hill live and spooked along with their viewers. More details are likely to follow in the coming weeks and months.
