Today during a Silent Hill Transmission live stream, Konami finally revealed the future of their venerable horror franchise. In addition to the long-rumored remake of Silent Hill 2, the company also announced a daring spin-off Silent Hill f.
Konami promises that Silent Hill f will feature “an all-new story set in 1960s Japan” written by the author of the iconic visual novel Higurashi When They Cry and other games in the When They Cry series. The game is being developed by Korean studio NeoBards, which is mainly known for porting games, as well as the developer of recent multiplayer Resident Evil games such as Resident Evil Resistance and Re:Verse. It will be interesting to see how they adapt to a more narrative and artistically challenging project.
