During the Silent Hill Transmission, Konami presented various projects dedicated to the saga to the world. Among them were the already rumored Silent Hill Townfall, a game from Annapurna Interactive, known for its indie games, and No Code. However, it looks like this won’t be the only project outside of Konami dedicated to the series. According to Dusk Golem, we can expect some sort of Silent Hill anthology.
As a Twitter leak wrote: “There are actually even more Silent Hill games than have been announced. Silent Hill Townfall is part of an Anthology of sorts of the series, but it’s really just the first part. There are other indie developers working on it.” -something else.
The Silent Hill games that will be part of the Silent Hill Anthology initiative have yet to be announced. I heard that they chose indie developers from different parts of the world to give Silent Hill different cultural flavors. I am very interested in this whole project, I must tell you.
So, it looks like Konami has planned a massive and, above all, multi-faceted return of Silent Hill. The idea of giving various indie teams a chance to create their own version of Silent Hill is certainly an interesting one.
Remember, however, that these are just rumors, not official information, and while Dusk Golem is a well-known insider, we cannot rely on his word. In addition, Konami may cancel projects before they are announced and released.
