10/20/2022 at 12:21 pm by Thilo Bayer – The PC version of the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection has now also landed on Steam. What do the critical PC gamers say about the Sony PC port?
After Sony had been hesitant to publish the PC implementations of its exclusive games, the knot burst by 2022 at the latest. After Spider-Man Remastered (August), the Uncharted PC Collection is now due.
How well has the game been received so far?
The Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection (buy now) was also released on Epic, but the approval ratings on Steam are interesting as always. Around 600 reviews have accumulated here since yesterday evening and the approval rate is a whopping 93 percent. Almost 8,000 players were playing at the same time in the evening, which should increase significantly over the weekend. After all, you get two complete games for a good 50 euros and the Uncharted Collection is even available as a subscription bonus for PCGH.

Is there anything to complain about on the user side? If anything, Naughty Dog and helper studio Iron Galaxy still have some technical problems to solve. Users report sound problems, graphic artefacts or crashes. One or the other tries to start the Uncharted games on an FX5950. Since Sony has so far provided its PC games with the necessary patches in an exemplary manner, technical problems should soon be eliminated.
The Uncharted project is definitely the first of its kind for Naughty Dog – and it certainly won’t be the last. In the Playstation Blog, the Sony studio reports that “this PC release would not be a one-off thing”. At the same time, they are also working on The Last of Us Part I for PC. One learned through the PC porting what is required to adapt one’s own engine to the PC hardware. Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy are already “beautiful games” and they want to keep the quality in the PC version. At the same time, they wanted to offer PC gamers the “flexible customization options they expect”; Widescreen resolutions and specific PC graphics functions are mentioned. This is how the basis was created for “developing high-quality games on Playstation 5, with the option of an additional publication on PC”.
