Women’s futsal team of Ukraine continues its way in the main selection round Euro-2023.
A day earlier, in the first game in group 2, the matches of which are hosted by the Polish Poznan, the blue-yellows defeated the Netherlands (5:2). In the second round, Oleg Shaitanov’s wards defeated the Croatian team (5:1).
At the beginning of the match, both teams shot wide of the goal, in the 13th minute Kislova pulled a dangerous shot from Rogar after a corner, soon Titova hit the target from a free kick. In the 16th minute, the Croatians took the lead thanks to a classy half-flight shot from Stipancevic. However, soon the Ukrainians bounced back – Ruban was taken to a shock position next to the goal. Shortly before the break, the opponents earned the sixth foul, but Volovenko did not convert a double penalty.
However, in the second half of the meeting, the blue-yellows did not leave a chance for the Balkans. First, Titova converted a penalty, in the 31st minute the Ukrainians famously played out, and Dubitskaya completed the combination. Immediately, Titova scored a double, and Forsyuk chalked up the fifth goal of the Ukrainian team.
As a result, the Ukrainians won with a score of 5:1. The wards of Oleg Shaitanov will play the decisive match of the main round on October 22 at 20:00 against the team of Poland.
