Don’t understand all the intricacies of Marvel Snap gameplay? And you want to rank up for rewards? Here are some tips and tricks to get out of it and win your matches!
If you’ve followed our tips for getting started on Marvel Snap, you’ve probably started playing and leveling up against other players (or bots, because at first you’ll almost only run into them). We’ve put together a guide for you with some tips on how to get out of it and get the most rewards.
Energy is important!
In Marvel Snapyou have a deck of 12 cards for 6 rounds (in theory, as some locations may change this). In general, in order not to find yourself in a complicated situation without being able to place the slightest card when it is up to you to play, put in place 2 things:
Your deck should contain mostly small cards. In general, start with a base of 7 to 9 cards that cost between 1 and 3 energy, and supplement the rest with at least one 4, 5 and 6 energy card. have a card to play, including at the start of the game. For instance Quicksilver, which will always be in your starting hand. But also Agatha Harkness which will be in your hand at the start of the game but also Domino which won’t happen until at least turn 2. These are great cards if you’re unlucky!
Have the card that changes everything!
We told you just above the few cards needed at 4, 5 and 6 energy points. Yet, always make sure you have a card that can counterbalance everything. We think, for example, of Hulk and its 12 attack points which can assure you an almost assured victory on one of the 3 lanes of the game. Onslaught which doubles the effects Continu can also be an excellent finish if your cards are well installed on the ground. Claw et Spider-Woman can also make a difference.
Never think you’ve won in Marvel Snap until you’ve completed the final round. This is often where things can get completely crazy.
Undoubtedly one of the priorities to take into account to win your games. Don’t bet everything on one lane, let alone at the start of the game because the bonus may look attractive! Ideally in Marvel Snap, you want to win on 2 lanes, or on all 3 but with a small margin to your advantage! Putting all your eggs in one basket can cost you dearly, especially with places that can change the game, and the famous turn 6 that can shake everything up!
The importance of places
Locations are pretty much THE gameplay mechanic of Marvel Snap on which the balance of the game is based. control what awaits you.
But where places can make you win a game that is not necessarily to your advantage, they can also cause your loss. In addition, it can be interesting to try to bet on the future by placing your cards on places still unknown in the first round, but anything can happen.
Finally, missing an interesting place is not always a bad thing. If your opponent is concentrating on a single location (eg a location that adds power to their cards on that specific lane), that means you can start laying your deck on two other locations where nothing is happening. This is one of the things that will make the difference against certain opponents.
The snap, a real 50/50
Finally, another mechanism that brings no interest level gameplay, but rather at the level of the mind game (poker players will appreciate): The Snap! The purpose of this mechanic, when you activate it at the top of your screen, is to raise the stakes. That is to say, increase the number of points you can earn in case of victory… but also that you can lose! It is therefore ideal if you want to climb quickly in mode class… but be careful, because it can also make you go down much faster! Note that if you give up, you will lose fewer points.
The other usefulness of this mechanism is that it also allows you to bluff. Indeed, if you make a SNAP against your opponent, he will probably think that you have enough to take this call and win… The solution in these cases would then be for him to call, or just to give up to limit the damage. The higher you go, the more you will see that the Snap is used!
