The then Corporate Vice President Phil Harrison wanted to publish Fable Legends as a service game.
It’s been over six years since Lionhead Studios shut down and development of Fable Legends stopped.
Since then, fans of the role-playing series have been left stranded. A new Fable is in the works at Forza Horizon developer Playground Games, but a release seems years away.
Players could have been supplied with Fable Legends for many years, apparently it was supposed to be a service game. This is reported by Jez Corden from Windows Central.
In a podcast, Corden said that Phil Harrison wanted to make a service game out of Fable Legends. Harrison was corporate vice president at Microsoft for three years until his departure in 2015.
