Peugeot presented, these days, the first car of its kind in the history of the brand. The new Peugeot 408 it is an unexpected proposal because it is different and with which the brand wants to demonstrate the creativity and innovation of its teams. This one offers a new silhouette fastbackat the top of the middle segment.
It arrives with “a feline stance, engineering excellence focused on efficiency and intelligent electrification, as well as the emotions provided by cutting-edge technologies dedicated to driving pleasure and instinctive use”. Prices for Portugal have already been revealed.
At the end of the year, the first units of the 408 begin to arrive in our country. Pre-orders have already started, and fastback prices start in 35 800 €. Plug-in hybrid powertrains are available from 44 600 €.

In the cabin, the Peugeot i-Cockpit plays an essential role in the driving experience of Peugeot’s new fastback. It sets new standards in terms of ergonomics, quality, practicality and technology with a new infotainment system, the Peugeot i-Connect.

PLUG-IN HYBRID 225 e-EAT8: front-wheel drive / combination of a 180 hp (132 kW) PureTech engine and an 81 kW electric motor coupled to the e-EAT8 8-speed automatic gearbox / features, in a WLTP combined cycle, a minimum consumption of 1.2 l/100 km and CO2 emissions from 24 g.PLUG-IN HYBRID 180 e-EAT8: front-wheel drive / combination of a 150 hp (110 kW) PureTech engine and an 81 electric motor kW coupled to the 8-speed e-EAT8 automatic transmission / has, in the WLTP combined cycle, a minimum consumption of 1.0 l/100 km and CO2 emissions from 24 g.
In both versions you can count on a battery of 12 kWh and power of 102 kW. You can choose between a standard 3.7 kW single-phase charger and a 7.4 kW single-phase charger available as an option.
Additionally, an internal combustion gasoline engine is available, the 1.2-litre PureTech three-cylinder block with 130 hp. This is coupled to an 8-speed EAT8 automatic transmission and a Start & Stop system.

It should be noted that this version features, in the WLTP combined cycle, a minimum consumption of 5.9 l/100 km and CO2 emissions from 133 g. The launch of the Peugeot 408 with a 100% electric motor is planned.
