Despite this morning’s problems, WhatsApp continues to receive an update on its beta channel. This time, the folks at WABetaInfo discovered that the messenger should finally get a logout screen.
The novelty is in version 220.127.116.11, and it was developed with multiple devices in mind. That’s because it will soon be possible to use WhatsApp on tablets and even on more than one smartphone.
Therefore, when the user decides to log out of a linked device, the application should display a screen stating that the account is no longer logged in.
These are some of the reasons that should make WhatsApp display the screen above:
User decides to log out of the secondary device by going to “Settings > Account > Logout” unknown: a bug or technical issue with the app
To re-establish the connection with the secondary device, the user just needs to tap the “Continue” button on the logout screen. In some cases, you will need to log in again.
For now, the novelty is in beta testing and may take a while to reach the stable version.
