The months between 2022 and 2023 are expected to be full of horror: on 2 December the Callisto Protocol will arrive, while on 27 January 2023 it will be the turn of remake di Dead Space. Do you know what the two projects have in common? The name of Glen Schofield.
Schofield is the man who created Dead Space. After having produced the first seminal chapter obtaining the acclaim of critics and gamers, he however freed himself from the series to found Sledgehammer Games and devote himself to Call of Duty. Eventually, however, unable to resist the lure of horror, he returned to the genre by directing the upcoming The Callisto Protocol, which had just entered the Gold phase.
Pur not being in any way involved with the Dead Space remake, Schofield had the opportunity to talk about the remake of his creation during an interview granted to Inverse. The creative was very sincere in stating that, if it had been for him, the remake would not have been made: “If it had been for me, I wouldn’t have done it again. I’m happy for them, but I wouldn’t have done it. I want to move on and do new things. Dead Space is my past.”
