Sony has just launched a new version of its LinkBuds S. The LinkBuds S Earth Blue bring as a novelty, their marbled finish obtained by incorporating more recycled materials.
The new LinkBuds S Earth Blue are made from recycled water bottles This Earth Blue variant is already available for pre-order at a price of 199 euros
Sony says the LinkBuds S Eart Blue and their charging case are made from recycled water bottles and factory salvaged plastic. This results in distinctive marbled patterns on the exterior. The other versions of the LinkBuds S also use recycled materials, but these are plastics from automobiles. Likewise, not all colorways use plastic for packaging.
Other than the unique color, the Sony LinkBuds S Earth Blue feature no changes in sound and connectivity. These IPX4-certified headphones have the same compact and lightweight shape, with a circular housing and replaceable ear tips. They contain 5mm speakers and a set of noise-canceling microphones.

Like the recent Nothing Ear (stick), the LinkBuds S support Google Fast Pair, although the latter has the LDAC codec in addition to AAC and SBC. They benefit from a multipoint connection via Bluetooth 5.2. Unfortunately, the autonomy remains unchanged with 20 hours of total playback with the case or 6 hours on the headphones.
Sony has opened pre-orders for the LinkBuds S Earth Blue which cost 199 euros in France. Deliveries should be made at the end of October.
