Do you still remember the original release of Age of Mythology, in the distant year 2022? Well, after the success of the ‘re-launch’ of the Age of Empires saga, Microsoft has decided to repeat the recipe of the past, by announcing the development of a ‘Retold’ series for the spin-off.
Curiously, I still remember that at the time, the “people” didn’t think much of Microsoft’s attempt to renew everything and anything else, preferring to continue their addiction to the Conquerors version.
Even so, the truth is that AoM was a market success, and that’s why, at this time when the remasters and remakes rule, behold, Microsoft will try to send the clay to the wall.
Yes, Age of Mythology is really coming back.
Age of Empires fans! Age of Mythology will return!
So, like the recently released Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, this Age of Mythology will also be a simple ‘remaster’ of the original title. What does it means? Well, graphical improvements, modern resolution support, gameplay improvements, race balancing and other things, and of course, another kind of polish.
Unfortunately, we still don’t have a release date set and written in stone, but it’s all likely to happen sometime next year.
Also, what do you think about all this? High expectations, or don’t you like these remasters? Share your opinion with us in the comments box below.
