In recent days Apple has promoted the launch of the new iPad, and the arrival of the latest versions of its operating systems. In between, Apple Fitness+ received a big news.
The fitness service is now available to use from an iPhone, even if you don’t have an Apple Watch. With the purchase of a new iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV, you receive 3 free months of the service.
Without Apple Watch, no access to real-time on-screen heart rate or calories burned metrics
As you would expect, this novelty has a downside. When you don’t have an Apple Watch, you no longer have access to your calories burned metrics or real-time heart rate on the screen.
Notably, Fitness+ users with an Apple Watch can continue to take their motivation to the next level with personalized real-time metrics displayed on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
iPhone users will have access to the entire service with over 3,000 studio-style exercises and meditations, all led by a diverse and inclusive team of trainers. Users will also see on-screen coach guidance and interval time, and estimated calories burned will be used to progress their Move ring.
Fitness+ fully integrated into the Fitness app with iOS 16.1
With iOS 16.1, Fitness+ is fully integrated into the Fitness app and located in the middle tab, where users can now get motivated to close the Move ring with coaching, rewards, activity sharing and more.
Furthermore, users only need an iPhone to sign up and can experience Fitness+ on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Fitness+ subscribers without Apple TV can use AirPlay to stream workouts or meditations on compatible third-party devices.
After the promotional period, Apple Fitness+ is available in Portugal for €9.99 per month or €79.99 per year. Can be shared with up to 5 family members.
