Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is about to be unlocked: The release will be on October 28th. Players have to download a major update before starting: How the portal “PlayStation Game Size” reported, Infinity Ward has loaded patch 1.03 for PS5 into the PSN. The download size is quite extensive at around 40 gigabytes. Information on other platforms is not yet available. However, the PC and Xbox patches are likely to be in similar size regions. Those who pre-order the digital version can preload the additional data in advance in order to be able to get into the first-person shooter in time for the launch on Friday tomorrow.
Changes since the MW2 beta
It is not known what changes update 1.03 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will bring. However, the developers of Infinity Ward share via their website which multiplayer screws they have turned since the beta. From now on, diamond-shaped icons will be placed above the opponents’ heads in order to be able to better identify opponents during the course of the game. Improved light and contrast conditions should also ensure better visibility of opponents. The developers have also fine-tuned the audio of the footsteps that can be heard from the opponent.
