On November 15th, Qualcomm will unveil its next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, and right away, we’ll be inundated with new high-end smartphones powered by the new processor.
But who will be the first to hit the market? Once again, the race has Motorola and Xiaomi as protagonists, and this time it is difficult to predict who will be able to cross the finish line.
According to rumors so far, both Chinese brands will officially present their new flagship series – Xiaomi 13 and Moto X40 – by the end of November, then only making them available in the Chinese market.
And while Xiaomi remains silent, Motorola has already started the Moto X40 series promotion campaign. Today, on the Chinese social network Weibo, Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo’s mobile area, directly asked users what they expect from the Moto X40.
And user responses were not long in the face of confirmation that Motorola has the successor to the current flagship X30 on the way.
It should be noted that both the Moto X40 and Xiaomi 13 series should only be launched on the global market in March next year. It is not yet this Christmas that we will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen chip in the shoe…
Expected specs on Moto X40 (rumored)
Several rumors have advanced since the new X40 will come equipped with the new Qualcomm processor which, in turn, will be paired with 8 or 12 GB of RAM.
The OLED screen will also be highlighted thanks to a high refresh rate of 165 Hz included.
Another highlight goes directly to the front camera that will have 60 megapixels of resolution. On the rear panel, the X40 will feature a primary sensor of 50 megapixels, an ultrawide sensor also with 50 megapixels and that can be used as a macro camera and a telephoto sensor with 12 megapixels.
