The Telegram messenger has a function of publishing paid content. It allows you to publish photos, access to which opens after payment. Relevant publications appeared in a number of popular channels.
Urban blogger Ilya Varlamov was one of the first to use the feature, posting a picture of a Halloween costume. Those who wish can see the photo by turning off the paywall for €1. The function is implemented through the Donate bot service. Users do not need a Visa or Mastercard – you can pay for the content with a Mir card.
The creators of the function told Sostav that the function allows you to restrict access to photo and video content. Channel authors can set a price for content in the range from 200 to 60 thousand rubles (or from €1 to 1000). The creator of the Russian Marketing channel, Semyon Efimov, noticed that the Onlyfans service has a similar content policy.
Recall that the Donate service is not related to the creators of Telegram. It was developed by the authors of the site Smar-tglocal.com. With its help, the authors of channels in the messenger can sell various content, including photos, videos and text materials. For example, RBC uses it to sell access to certain publications.
